If you are interested in becoming a member of the Cane Ridge
Comprehensive High School staff, I would like to inform you
of my expectations and my vision for the developing a
successful learning community.
My expectations for Cane Ridge mirror key practices inherent
in the High School That Works program.

Concentrate
on motivating students to meet high expectations.

Apply
academic content and skills to real world problems and
projects.

Nurture
students through a highly informed guidance and
advisement system that develops relationships and
ensures completion of an accelerated program of study.

Extend
extra help to assist students in completing accelerated
program of
studies.

Require
and assist students in selecting their career path of
interest.

Integrate
challenging high school studies and work based learning
planned by educators and employers.

Develop
Career Paths based upon the interests of students

Guarantee
students and parents a committed faculty and staff who
will provide an atmosphere which builds upon rigor,
relevance and the relationship.

Engage
students in academic and career/technical classroom
practices using research based instructional strategies
and technology.
