Corene Minchin was born and raised in Northern New Jersey and is a graduate of William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. She studied Movement Science and was a member of a very competitive Womens Fencing team.
Ms. Minchin has been employed by Metro Nashville Public Schools for the past nine years and has spent the past eight years with John Overton High School. She taught Lifetime Wellness, Physical Education, and developed successful Girls Fitness/Weightlifting classes at John Overton. She has head coaching experience with Cross Country, Softball and Tennis teams.
Ms. Minchin has assisted in the development of the Metro Nashville Public Schools Standards for Physical Education and Lifetime Wellness and has assisted in the writing of the Tennessee Standards for Physical Education.
Her goals are to combine her range of experiences with her ability to be compasionate, enthusiastic and an intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to Cane Ridge High School.
