Boys and Girls Soccer Coach. Mike Hollingsworth

Mike Hollingsworth is from Lexington, KY. He has been involved in sports since he could walk. He attended Bryan Station High School where he played baseball, basketball, and football.

In 1987, Mike received a scholarship to play baseball at Belmont University in Nashville, where he was a four-year starting pitcher. He received his degree in Physical Education and Biology, in which he received a certificate to teach in both areas of education. He has also been involved in the Aerospace program at MTSU, where he plans on receiving a Master’s degree.

Coach Hollingsworth accepted his first teaching opportunity in 1992 at Moore Elementary in Franklin. From there, in 1993, he moved to Freedom Middle School in Franklin as a science teacher and head baseball and head girls soccer coach. He taught Science and Physical Education and coached baseball and soccer until 2004 before accepting a Biology position at Page High School in the Williamson County School system. There he also coached baseball and soccer, winning a district title and advancing to the final16 in the state. Coach Hollingsworth has been at Heritage Middle School in Spring Hill the last two years, teaching Physical Education, and coaching soccer and basketball.

Other interests of Coach Hollingsworth are working as a basketball and baseball official in Williamson and Davidson Counties. He is very involved in fitness, working as a certified personal trainer for Williamson County Parks and Recreation. He lives in Spring Hill with his wife, Faith, who is also a science teacher. He has two children and two step-children.
